I'm torn here. I'm also over a year late for the debate, but since I'm not a music fan, I just heard the song. I like it. I'm 28 and about as Conservative as they come but I do think that many young Americans (under 30) feel like there is nothing they can do to have their voices heard. Part of that is naivety and part of that is a function of today’s huge population and government. I think Mayer strikes a chord with a lot of younger Americans. I've studied the lyrics and to be honest I don't hear anything partisan or anti-war in the lyrics. When he talks about "Now if we had the power To bring our neighbors home from war They would have never missed a Christmas No more ribbons on their door" I think he echoes the sentiments of all Americans, liberal and conservative. We want our soldiers home, not at war; some of us just know it has to be done. Even those of us who are "ultra-cons" or "neo-cons" would bring our service members home if we could. In the next portion of that verse he also attacks the drive by media, which of course I love. No, I think Mayer takes a neutral political stance here and while it could be made controversial, I don't think it is and I think it is a good theme to display the attitudes of many young Americans as they progress in life. On another level I think this song inspires me to try to change things and stop waiting. Mayer also addresses the following: “It's not that we don't care, We just know that the fight ain't fair So we keep on waiting (waiting) Waiting on the world to change” I think many young Americans feel like all the politicians are corrupt and overly rich. Remember that many young Americans don’t see the good, wholesome politicians because so much of the MSM is smeared in covering the corruption in politics. Eliot Spitzer, George Patterson, and the mayor of Detroit, coupled with Obama’s pastor, and Hillary’s lies about Bosnia are center stage. Where is the coverage of the Senator, Mayor, and Governor who actually does his or her job without a scandal? There isn’t any coverage of it because that’s BORING! Mayer’s connection to young Americans and the impact that a large segment of a largely unhappy population is something that Obama must have recognized early on. Obama has been able to captivate the youth of America by listening to them, treating them like other candidates treat women over 50, Latinos, black voters, and Independents. He’s not the first one to do it either. Regan and JFK appealed to many young voters during their elections largely due to their desires to bring results through cooperation and their ability to treat young voters as an important segment of the population that deserves the same connection as any other group. Obama does this and does it so well that he can ask his voters to overlook his pastors inflammatory, racist and unpatriotic remarks and they will. Young America is looking for anyone who will listen. Many are independents that just want to be heard. These voters are generally drawn to Obama and liberals in general because they are more apt to act like they want the opinions of these voters. What they really want is the votes of these voters. It’s time for young Americans to start standing up for themselves. Stop waiting, that’s the message Mayer’s song gives me, why are we waiting? The longer we wait, the more we will have to fix later. Another verse that maybe should be included this year, at least, in my opinion: It’s time to take action, no more waiting, waiting on the world to change. It’s time to stand in this election, Make our voices the decision No more waiting Waiting on the world to change.

As if calling him a Muslim and darkening his skin in a press release wasn’t bad enough, Hillary Clinton, in a show of extreme arrogance has suggested that Barrack Obama would make a good fit as a VP candidate on a Hillary Clinton topped ticket. Strong words coming from someone a hundred or so delegates behind. That’s a bit like a team down 3 games to 1 in the World Series asking the team in front if they’d like to share the rings. The arrogance flowing from the Clinton campaign, as they slander and berate Senator Obama is nearly unbelievable, until you remember, this is Hillary Clinton. Hillary has a problem of her own with the recent naming of one of her pledged super delegates Elliott Spitzer, in a prostitution scandal. It appears that she may have more to worry about than she thought. She may actually have to win, or should I say lead, in the DNC primary race before she starts considering a vice president, since her pledged super delegates are beginning to fall like dominoes. Barrack of course maintains that he is not running for Vice President. The delegate lead held by Obama is has been largely ignored by the Clinton camp to the angst of both conservative talk radio hosts and the Obama campaign. Mrs. Clinton had better start taking Obama seriously, lest she be returned to Washington as a Senator.

NY Gov Elliott Spitzer has been named in an indictment against a prostitution ring as a client. The man who stood up and trashed his political enemies, who stood up for the illegal aliens is now just as guilty as they are of committing a crime. Not only did he commit a crime, but he committed a crime that I consider to be not only against the law, but against all morality. Of course, this is to be expected from a liberal, lying, egotistical politician, especially one from New York. In a press conference today he expressed ideas that he may be resigning but did not actually say so. I can’t see how he could stay in office with this hanging over him. As an elected official I think he owes the voters of New York to step down due to his lapse in morality, assuming he ever had any. I don’t wish to annoy any conservatives in the great state of New York, but it is one of the bluest states and there for I can’t say it would be a complete shock to see him stay in office throughout this ordeal. My suggestion is to step down before you are impeached Elliott.

So, going the way of the dodo is the home schooling parent. The mother or father who puts in 80 to 100 hours every week to teach their children the things the state schools don’t. Sure, state schools cover the basics of math, science, English, and social studies, but they don’t do it while also upholding the parents value and belief system. The teachers cannot take the time to deal individually with each child and ensure that all of the children grasp the information by any means necessary. The State of California, which has an increasingly overcrowded school population is now calling home schooled students truant and refusing the honor the long held traditions of teaching done in the home. Our forefathers, many of whom were infinitely smarter than most of us living today, were taught mostly, if not completely, in the home. State run schools have become simply the nannies of the 21st century. Now though, these nannies are teaching our children things like how to put a condom on a banana and the Global Warming myths as opposed to laying out the truth and allowing these bright youngsters to develop their own opinions. They are consistently, with the help of liberals and left wing kooks, destroying the values parents instill at home. Some parents watch in horror as their home based value system is eroded by erroneous information, lies and outright attacks on the values in question. Others nod ceremoniously an scream, “Yes! Raise my children for me Oh Wonderful nanny state!” Finally, there are the few in each town, the numbers have grown recently, but are still few compared to the others, who reach out to their children, snatch them from the jaws of the liberals who seek to steal them from the womb, and ensure their value system by providing education at home, in line with their values. We’re not talking about just any soccer moms and dads here either. We’re talking about dedicated parents who spend more time writing lesson plans and studying themselves, than most teachers do, while continuing to support the family financially as well as allowing for quality family time. Still, the state of California has decided that without the teaching credentials, these hard working folks are not capable of teaching their own children what the state run schools have been failing at teaching to millions of American children for decades. These teaching credentials that are held by educators who have consistently failed to deliver positive results in education and yet picket and go on strike demanding more money even though they deliver poor results. These academic scholars go to college for sometimes 8 years, depending on the degree level, to learn how to teach a classroom full of children and deliver on the promise that the government run schools make to parents that their children will come out of school smarter. Yet, after all of that college, after all of that time, we’re left with a failing education system, complaining educators and children who are being done a disservice. Our children deserve a top notch education for certain, but the question is who should deliver this? For my money, I would prefer a private or home school solution as opposed to the nanny system we have now.

The mainstream media bias has become the laughing stock of the circus that is American journalism. Supposed news media outlets such as CNN (also known as the Clinton News Network), ABC (aka the All Bad Channel), NBC (aka Nothing But Clinton) and CBS (aka Clinton Broadcasting Service) have focused on promoting Hillary and to some extent Barrack because let’s face it, on the off chance that he wins the Democrat nomination the driveby’s wouldn’t want to be disenfranchised. I can’t say that FOX News is as fair and balanced as they suggest, most of the commentators are conservatives, however, many of the news anchors that aren’t Gretta, O’Reilly, or Hannity(who, in all fairness does team with the liberal Alan Colmes) are generally fair in both positive and negative feedback for every candidate. There is a bit of a right leaning spin, or maybe it just seems that way because all of the other news networks are controlled via backroom deals in smoke filled rooms by the Clintons. The fact is, you can only believe about half of anything a “journalist” tells you. The people that are getting paid to do research and get more information than the regular citizens are flat out not doing their jobs anymore. Many of them have political ties, party affiliations or take the bribes offered by candidates to keep the negative to a minimum. There’s no REAL objective media coverage these days. You’re certainly not going to get “Straight Talk” from anyone on the Big 4 networks (CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC) and while you get closer with Fox, it’s still a conservative outlet. So, TV media is out but the local papers must surely have flown below the political radar right? Today’s print media is even worse. Editors, whose party affiliations help them decide what stories to print and what not to print are stealing the truth from the journalists. I have no doubt that there are thousands of objective journalists out there being told to cover Brittany Spears because the editor of his paper is a liberal biased pig who didn’t like the fact that one of his reporters actually dared criticize Obamamania or the creation of Clintonia. I’m not a conspiracy theorist by nature, but you’ve got to wonder sometimes. Now, me being from Delaware I am used to reading nothing but liberal spin, which is why for a long time I read nothing other than the sports section. I’m old enough, and tired enough now of watching my state media slowly brainwash the population into believing that liberal policies will solve all of our problems. That’s why I’m blogging about the driveby media. Can’t get your fair news on TV or the local Paper. I guess all that’s left is the radio. Ah news radio, with its impartiality right? Not a chance. There’s two types of news radio, conservative talk radio, like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity and Liberal talk radio, like NPR. Conservatives tend to dominate the ratings markets in talk radio. Rush, Glenn and Sean are 3 of the most listened to shows on radio. Liberal radio simply can’t compete. Because of that, the liberal papers and TV media seek to discredit everything they say. They spend so much time discrediting the Top 3 as I call them, that they fail to be objective, which further discredits themselves. National Public Radio bills itself as impartial, but if you listen, you’ll only hear liberal independents or democrats bashing the Bush administration or the Republicans in some way shape or form. They’re all battling for the ratings slots and not reporting the news. In all fairness, the point of the Top 3 is to ignite the fires of conservatism and give opinions from a conservative point of views on news and issues, not to report the news per say. NPR however, bills itself as a news and information station, and even suggests publicly that it is fair with no bias. Listen to the shows and you will hear points made by decidedly liberal talk radio (yes it exists, somewhere). So where do we get our opinions? That choice is up to you as an American. If you listen to Rush, Sean and Glenn as I do and agree with their points, listen to that. If you tend to agree with the points on NPR, gravitate that way. My only caution is that, no matter what you read, see or hear, believe half of it. Case in point is the recent video of Marines throwing a puppy off a cliff in Afghanistan. The video looks pretty genuine. It’s convincing, until you tune out the commentary and listen to the audio. If you listen hard you will hear the sound of a puppy squealing. It doesn’t sound like it’s timed up the way it would be if it were a real yelp. Also, the particular type of puppy in the clip wouldn’t sound the way it did. Also, the puppy doesn’t seem to me, to be real. It looks a lot like a stuffed animal to me. It never moves, a normal puppy held that way would squirm, especially a “stray”. Look at the way the thing flies. Its legs aren’t kicking and it doesn’t seem to be fighting to land squarely. The fact is that this is likely another liberal media trick to portray our military as heartless puppy killing war mongers. It’s time we took back our media and demanded impartial, non biased news instead of opinion based thoughts.

Let’s turn our attention to energy independence. Freeing ourselves from the burden of foreign oil is becoming a rapidly growing need. Becoming energy independent wouldn’t just free us from the outrageous costs of foreign oil; it would also provide thousands of jobs and help to strengthen America’s economy. Drilling off shore for natural gas, drilling for oil in Anwr, Nuclear power as well as refining and using alternative sources of energy such as solar, wind and waste incinerators are perfectly viable options if used in conjunction with one another. It’s no secret that both sides of the isle want to move away from foreign oil. The stalling point is how to do it. Democrats want to completely do away with all oil and move to corn-derived alternatives, wind power, solar, and other such solutions only. They believe that any drilling on or offshore is going to destroy the planet and add pollution. Nuclear is one of the cleanest, and most efficient ways to create power. Currently, about 20% of power in the U.S. is made through nuclear power plants. France makes around 80% of their power from nuclear. Neither country has ever had a significant incident involving Nuclear power production. The most notable incident on record is Chernobyl in the then Soviet Union. That incident has been widely associated with operator error and design problems and occurred over 29 years ago. There has not been a significant incident since then in any country. It’s safe, effective, sustainable and also reduces emissions. It would also create thousands of jobs, many of which would be high paying careers for American workers in every area. France, who makes nearly 80% of it’s power by way of Nuclear fission, enjoys some of the cleanest air and cheapest energy prices in Europe and nearly ¾ of the people there think highly of the energy alternative. Currently, the only thing slowing Nuclear Power from becoming as important to the U.S. as it is to France, is the discussion of waste treatment. Properly storing waste for a few decades before moving it to a new location, perhaps deep within the earth, and reprocessing any parts of the waste that we can are viable solutions. The ANWR solution is another area where liberals have bogged down progress for America. As the demand from the public to reduce our dependence on foreign oil increases, liberal Democrats challenge and oppose the U.S. gathering it’s own oil from places like ANWR. ANWR is large enough to drill with current technology without disturbing much of the area and contains enough oil to alone out produce all 48 contiguous states. Again, thousands of jobs would be created, many of them high paying and a valuable commodity would be easily accessible to America. This same idea can be presented for drilling natural gas reserves off the coast of the US. Our country hasn’t even begun to tap into it’s supplies and yet, the liberal media and the liberal congress would have you believe two complete falsehoods. 1.) That drilling of any kind would send our world into a tail spin and destroy all mankind and 2.) That we are in such dire straights because the Republicans made enemies with the world, which is why oil prices are soaring. The facts are that drilling properly, using American ingenuity and current technology wouldn’t affect the world at all. Also, the reason we are in this position is that your liberal government is being bought and paid for by radical earth left wing nuts. These are the people that burn down homes as eco terrorists in protest for them being too large. With a comprehensive plan, including a revitalization post drilling for each area, I see no downside to us tapping our country’s natural reserves. This brings us to the other forms mentioned above. Wind, solar and incinerators are excellent supplementary power options. Wind power, if strategically placed and properly done can supply power consistently enough to be distributed in local areas. For instance in Delaware, a company called Bluew ater Wind has proposed building an offshore wind farm in the Atlantic that would provide power to Delaware. According to BWW this would provide a stable energy price, create hundreds of jobs and reduce carbon emissions. While popular with the residents of Delaware, lobbyists from the energy conglomerate DELMARVA Power, have convinced state Democrats to oppose the construction sighting their own opposite opinions of the BWW project. Simply put, DELMARVA Power feels like they may have to be honest and open about their pricing and so they are fighting the construction. If Delaware truly wanted to do the right thing, they would put it to a referendum and allow the residents of the state to vote on the measure. Instead, Delaware lawmakers bog down the progress of the proposal in the legislature as they decide which side has the most voters behind it. Solar power is an energy alternative that, with some more technological advances, could be affordable for almost anyone that wants it. Installed single home systems cost around 20k dollars and can produce more energy than needed in your home. That allows you to sell power back to the supplier. The sun alone produces more than enough energy to meet all of the power demands of the earth if we could harness it properly. I would like to see more private research companies invest in perfecting solar panels. Finally, we’ll talk about incinerators. Currently, as solid waste is landfilled, it emits methane and other toxic gasses in the are, which is one of the reasons no one wants to live near Cherry Island here in Delaware. What if we took a queue from Germany and Spain and built incinerators at landfills. Municipal waste would be able to be burned up, producing very few if any dioxins and the same amount of CO2 as would normally be emitted by rotting garbage. So, using incinerators would decrease the physical amount of garbage that rots aware, it would provide sustainable (there’s always trash!) energy, pay for itself rather quickly, and not increase greenhouse gases. Where’s the downside? The planet would smell a lot better that’s for sure. There’d be less places for the mafia to dump bodies.

Hillary Clinton is the face of socialism in America. She is the epitome of the evil in politics. Anyone who allows their campaign to darken the picture of a biracial person to DEMONIZE him is despicable. Especially coming as it does from a Democratic Senator who claims to be above racism. Think about this folks. Hillary Clinton speaks to the African American community, she appeals to them for help, and yet she DARKENS the skin to make him look harsher. The fact is folks that Hillary is a fraud. She is a fake in everything she has ever said. My first example is Bill. William Jefferson Clinton is a womanizer extraordinaire, a serial abuser of women and an indulger in serial infidelity. Hillary has claimed that she champions for womens rights. She will fight for all of the women out there being taken advantage of. YET, she not only watched, but facilitated Bill as he abused woman after woman. She even attacked the women Bill had already abused. It wasn’t enough that Bill basically raped them, no, not for the Clintons. To go along with the serial abuse committed by Bill, Hillary harassed and slandered them using all her money and power to crush these women. Now, it takes two to tango in an adulterous relationship and while the women who were involved with Bill Jeff are to take their share of the blame, the way that Hillary emotionally and mentally beat them leads me to ask, is she a feminist? What ever happened to Bill and Hillary’s marriage? Still there, strong as ever she says, she was able to forgive him. One episode of infidelity, maybe two and I could understand, but a half dozen or more? Hillary, the fact is that you are a fake. The only thing you care about is power. We can all see it in your eyes. We can all hear it in your voice. We can see it in you campaign. Speaking of campaigns, how about discussing the smear campaign that Hillary has run against Barack Obama? The first and only campaign to bring up Senator Obamas middle name Hussein, was Senator Clintons campaign. When that didn’t work, the Clinton campaign began to insinuate that Barack was a Muslim. They even put out a picture of young Barack wearing the traditional garb of a muslim nation while visitng there. When that didn’t work the campaign submitted an extremely doctored photo of Barack making him look much darker than he is. Hussein, Muslim, and dark, that’s what the Clintons want Americans to see when they think of Obama. Now the Resko trial is starting and I’m sure the Clinton camp will ramp up the smears about Barack Obama’s relationship with Tony Rezko. All of this leads me to ask, is this what we want? Another Clinton elected thanks to false accusations? Granted, as a conservative, I naturally disagree with Democrat socialist policies in general. Hillary’s policies take my disdain a step further. Should we nationalize healthcare? NO! Don’t agree? Ask someone from Canada or Great Britain to help you decide. Doctors and nurses would make less money. Waiting rooms would be jam packed with people waiting for the few Doctors left to see them. Waiting periods for medical procedures would grow exponentially. Let’s not also forget that we would be entrusting the future of healthcare in this country to a government that has nearly bankrupted Social Security benefits because they couldn’t seem to figure out that the population was growing. This sounds pretty bad right? Well take it Hillary style and not only do you get all of the above, but, if you don’t pay your dues to the national healthcare system you have your wages garnished by the government. So, you pay, no matter what. Can we start the Soviet anthem now? Speaking of regimes, Hillary supports the DREAM act. She wants to provide a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. They’ve come here illegally, broken a law and NOW, she wants to allow them to stay, provided they pay a fine and do some community service. NO! Why allow people who have broken the law already, stay here? I say put them back in line with everyone else. I’m not totally unable to compromise, if you have children in school, they can finish the school year, get your affairs in order, then go home and come back legally. Cheating your way in, and working below the surface is BREAKING THE LAW! It’s not a gray area, you’ve broken the law. The only gray areas in all of this are the children. That’s why I would agree with allowing them to finish the school year before returning home. Additionally, Hillary wants to pull our troops out of Iraq after voting to put them there. As a former Marine who served in the Middle East during the beginning of the war, I strongly oppose any withdrawal from Iraq before the country is able to take care of itself. As it stands, Iraqis face a growing threat from Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations within Iraq. Hillary wants us to forget that she voted for the war and wants to bring troops home before the mission is accomplished. The recent surge suggested by the military has worked. My suggestion is to invest more diplomatic help in working with the Iraqi government to stabilize itself by employing the same things that our forefathers did to create America. It starts with strong, local governments who elect representatives to a national government. I would also promote sending leading police officials who wish to help in the effort, to Iraq to help train the local police forces in protecting their communities. I would also urge lawmakers to reach out to their counterparts in Iraq to help foster the building of a new, strong, democratic nation in Iraq. I would work with the UN to send diplomats to the area that could help the different sects of the population work together and establish fair and just laws that benefit all and equally represent the views of each community. This would involve keeping the troops in Iraq to help provide security for the diplomats from the UN and America. Benchmarks would also be set for the Iraqi government to meet and as each community stabilizes, troops could be pulled back or shifted. Eventually, as the regions stabilized, the troops could be recalled to bases within the Middle East and as things continued to stabilize they would then be returned to their original bases of operations. Hillary Clinton is a hypocrite. She’s using every trick and lie she can muster to get elected. She cries when she thinks it will help her get the female vote to win, she appeals to African Americans when she needs their votes, she appeals to Hispanics when she needs their votes. She is a fraud. She talks about all her 35 years of experience but I challenge her to provide proof of one thing she has done in 35 years. We can exclude her failed Healthcare initiatives and her help on NAFTA. Both of those have been huge failures. I think we can also exclude her having been in the White House as First Lady. I mean if a Plumbers wife called and said “I can fix your leaky faucet, I’ve been married to a Plumber for 35 years.” What would you say? What else, Senator Clinton, can you provide the American people to back up your claim of experience? Please give me something to work with.

Geraldo Rivera recently spoke on the Michael Smerconish show about his new book titled “His Panic: Why Americans Fear Hispanics in the U.S. “. The show on Philadelphia’s Big Talker 1210 WPHT is generally considered a right wing conservative talk radio show but has hints of independent thinking. The lawyer turned political radio host shifts slightly from hard conservatism on some issues but is still generally considered conservative. When I heard that Geraldo Rivera would be coming on the show to discuss his new book I started to lose interest. I mean honestly, who cares what the long time TV talk show host turned journalist with an agenda says? Then I heard the title of the book, “His Panic: Why Americans fear Hispanics in the U.S.”. As a white American I knew that I HAD to listen to this. What I heard was absolutely ridiculous. Geraldo is actually asserting in this book that non-Hispanic Americans fear ALL Hispanics because we believe they will shift the culture of the country towards the Hispanic culture. He asserts that Americans don’t want to move just the 12 million illegal immigrants out of our country, but that we want all Hispanic Americans displaced. The underlying current of his book from the way he spoke about it was racism against all Hispanics regardless of immigration status by white America and to a slightly lesser extent black America. Geraldo appears to seek to ignite racial tensions in the United States with regards to Hispanic Americans. As the average white American male in the eastern United States I take exception to the notion that Hispanics are hated by the rest of the country simply for being brown. I’ve got something to say to YOU mister Geraldo Rivera, and listen up. I don’t hate Hispanics. I don’t fear Hispanics. I don’t discriminate against anyone, black, white, brown or blue simply because of the color of their skin. I don’t discriminate against Africans, Muslims, Hispanics or Asians because of their national origin. A very smart man once said "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Mister Rivera, I think, by and large the nation has become this. Racism is not a myth not for African Americans, not for Hispanics, not for Asians. There are people in this great country that are racist. There are groups that get together and commit racist acts like burning black churches. There are also groups that merge together and run drugs, commit murder and kill innocent people. I think Mister Geraldo Rivera that you are missing the TRUE fears of America. The real fears of America are the burdens to the education and healthcare systems that are posed by ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, white, black, Hispanic, Asian or European. The real fears of America include the security of our nation when we cannot stop people from illegally entering the United States. Who knows what intentions these people who are breaking the law have? If they’re willing to break the law to get here, they’re willing to break the law to stay. Let’s look at gangs. In 2005 CAL/GANG, a statewide database maintained by the California Department of Justice, said the city of Los Angeles was home to 463 gangs with 39,032 members. Hispanic gangs made up the majority of all gang members with over 22k members. In 2007 the Charlotte Conservative reported that studies show that more than half of all Gang members in LA are illegal immigrants from Latin countries as well 29% of all inmates in all state and federal prisons are illegal aliens. Those statistics Mister Geraldo provide reason for concerns about illegal immigration. That brings me to jobs. Mister Geraldo wants us to believe that illegal immigrants are doing America a favor by taking jobs in factories or on farms that legal Americans feel are beneath them. I’ve got news for you Mister Geraldo, you may find it hard pressed to locate a teen or young person in NYC to work on a farm, in a factory or do landscaping, but I can tell you that if you were step outside of your comfort zone and head into a slightly more rural area you would find legal Americans, both Hispanic and non-Hispanic that are jobless because illegal immigrants, working for cash under the table and for much less wage than legal hires would be required to be paid, have stolen these jobs that would help them. You’d find Americans eager for any job, including those you say are considered beneath legal Americans. Geraldo says that illegal immigrants revitalize towns and bring back an economy. Mister Geraldo, please ask the long time residents of the Kennett Square, PA area if the influx of illegal immigrants has revitalized their town. The answer you are most likely to receive is that the town has lost property values, a huge surge in school populations and a loss of blue collar jobs to illegals. The fact is Mister Geraldo, that there is nothing good about illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is the practice of breaking the rule of law and obtaining unlawful access to a sovereign nation. These people have already broken the law to get here, what’s to stop them from breaking the law again while in the country? Statistics show that many of them do break the law again. I have a proposition for you Mister Geraldo Rivera, which you can choose to ignore if you like. I, an average citizen of the United States of America, challenge you, the great Geraldo Rivera to a debate on illegal immigration on the stage of your choosing. We can debate it on a radio show, we can debate it on TV, and we can debate it in front of a live auditorium. I’ve never spoken in front of a large group of people, on TV or on the radio, but I am so offended by your obviously ridiculous statements that I will step out of my comfort zone to confront your lies and mistruths. What do you say Mister Rivera, are you too good to debate an average American, or are you just afraid of being wrong? The United States has once again come to a fork in the road. This is a fork in the road at which our choice will determine the future of our nation for centuries. On the right is Capitalism, free enterprise, privately owned businesses, and individual wealth management. On the left is Socialism, redistribution of wealth, government run bureaucracies and collective ownership of corporations. Capitalism is the way this country has always been run and in fact is one of the guiding principles in the founding of this great nation. The idea that a person from a poor family can be just as likely to become rich and successful as someone who started out in a wealthy family is a core value of our nation. The idea that your hard earned money is yours, not the governments to be distributed as YOU see fit, not how the government feels it should be distributed is something our forefathers felt so strongly about that they went to war over the idea. The idea that a person can create a business, using his/her own ideas and grow that business through hard work and good decision making and never have it stolen by the government is a principle believed in since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The idea of small government focused on national security and with limited roles in states rights was what built the nation. Can we really afford to throw all of that away? Can we afford to allow Hillary or Barrack to move our country toward collectivism/socialism? I say no. Socialism is the foundation of Communism. If this country were to move toward allowing the government to take money from successful Americans and redistribute that wealth to the poor an middle class it would cripple us. If this country were to move toward government controlled healthcare it would catastrophically ruin the system. Lines would explode out the doors of doctor’s offices. Waiting lists for transplants, and surgeries would be miles long. If this country were to allow government takeovers and crackdowns on privately held companies it would tear away the spirit of American enterprise. Who would want to start a successful company if they knew the government would just take it and distribute the profits to the nation? The fact is, the Democrats are pushing us towards Socialism and eventually CWhy? The reason is simple; Democrats have a need to be liked! They are always looking for something to exploit. Our country is still strong, but it has been weakened. The once invisible but impenetrable walls that protected us have been breached. The Clinton catastrophe of NAFTA has stolen jobs from America. Illegal immigrants have snuck into our country and stolen jobs, services and money from American citizens. Democrats see this as weakness and see the things Americans are concerned about and they portray our concerns as fears. They’ve been doing it for so long that they’ve actually succeeded in convincing America about what our fears are. For instance, global warming, the temperature on planet earth has gone up about a degree over the last century. That’s Global warming right? In the last year, the global temperature dropped a degree. Does that mean in the last 12 months we’ve switched to Global Cooling? Of course not, the temperatures on Earth have always fluctuated within a degree or so from century to century. Global warming is Al Gore’s myth brought about with the help of liberal scientists with political agendas. Also, Polls have suggested that the economy is not as bad as the Democrat controlled media would have you believe. Recently, a survey of Americans asked if they felt the U.S. economy was weak. An overwhelming number of those polled agreed that it was, yet when asked if they were experiencing economic woes in daily life, most of those polled said no. That shows me that the Democrats have convinced us those things we aren’t seeing as problems, are problems. It shows me that the Democrats have preyed on concerns and attacked us at the hearts of things. They’ve exploited Americans and turned us on each other. They are the great manipulators.
